In Manila, A bomb exploded at the Philippine House of Representatives yesterday killing 2 people including a congressman with links to an extremist group, official said.
Ten people were also injured in the blast which hit the south lobby of the sprawling complex in the capital Manila shortly after most congressman ad left for the evening, official said.
President Gloria Arroyo threw all the troops to high alert. And also to national police.
Lawmaker Wahab Akbar was killed along with the driver for congresswoman Luz Ilagan who suffered minor injuries.The bomb was planted on one of the motorcycle parked near Akbar's car.
